Responsible management

We all work to be able to live well. However, many forget the basis that makes this possible in the first place: our environment! Our company location, the beautiful Ybbstal valley, is surrounded by greenery, so we and our employees can still experience a direct connection to nature. FUSO is aware of its responsibility for sustainable production and business!

We operate responsibly

Our daily actions are characterised by mindfulness and care: for our customers, for our products, for our environment! In recent years, FUSO has constantly invested in innovation and sustainability. In this ongoing process, medium and long-term saving potentials have been and will continue to be recognised and quickly realised. Continuous training and further education in resource conservation optimise our work and continuously open up new potential for improvement.

Sustainable improvements

We cover a large part of our electricity requirements through our newly installed PV system with 228 kWp.

The entire cooling water system has been modernised according to ecological criteria. We take the water for the system from our company-owned wells.

We recover thermal discharge from our injection moulding machines, which is used to heat the company building. Around 2,000 m² can thus be heated without the use of fossil fuels - and we have been able to reduce gas consumption by more than half.

Thanks to targeted investments in the area of compressed air generation, the gas consumption likewise almost halved. Dark radiators are used selectively for even more savings.

The energy efficiency of our machines enables capacity expansion with almost the same energy requirement.

Technical possibilities and our expertise open up efficient recycling processes. We regranulate residue material from prodcution and thus facilitate its reusability. We process 100 tonnes of recyclables every year and rising.

We deliver products in returnable containers. Circular packaging systems are increasingly used and have become a significant means of reducing waste.

FUSO erected at the company building E-fuelling stations with 6 charging points with green electricity from EVN. This enabled a large part of our vehicle fleet to switch to e-mobility.

Through fixed home office days and self-organised Car pools our employees also make a major contribution to reducing CO2 emissions.
